The light-time calculator
The calculator divides a distance by the speed of light. The speed is exact by definition; the distances are not. Planetary figures are given at closest approach and change through the year, and stellar distances carry the uncertainty of the parallax measurement behind them. Treat its output as an order of magnitude you can check, not as an ephemeris.
Accuracy
We try to be accurate and we correct mistakes when they are pointed out, but the site is provided as it is, without warranty. Science moves: an article here reports what was reported at the time, and some of it has since been revised or contradicted. Check the date.
